This page explains how insightfulai.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies, what they do, and how you can control them. Our use of cookies is governed by PECR (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, the UK law that controls when cookies can be placed on your device) and UK GDPR (the UK's data protection law). What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They serve different purposes. Some are needed for the site to work. Some help us understand how people use the site. Others help us recognise which organisations are visiting.
Similar technologies, including tracking pixels and local storage, work in comparable ways. This policy covers those too.
How we use cookies
When you submit a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks technical browser and network signals to help prevent automated abuse. It is used for form security and is separate from optional analytics and marketing. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing details.
We group cookies into three categories based on what they do and what legal basis applies to each.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies keep the website running. They handle security, bot protection, and session integrity. You cannot switch them off because the site would not work without them. PECR (the UK's cookie law) does not require consent for these cookies.
Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site: which pages people visit, how long they stay, where traffic comes from and, through Microsoft Clarity, how pages are used (heatmaps and session recordings). We do not use them to build profiles of individuals. We use analytics cookies only with your consent. You can allow or reject them in our cookie dialog, and change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the website footer.
Visitor identification cookies
These cookies and similar identifiers recognise the organisation a visit comes from, so our team can see which businesses are interested in our services and follow up with relevant business outreach. They are not set unless you choose to allow them. We do not use them to serve advertising. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the website footer.

Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It loads only after you opt in to the analytics category in our cookie dialog. If you later withdraw consent using the cookie settings link in the footer, measurement stops immediately.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, for example how far people scroll and where they click, through aggregated heatmaps and session replays. Clarity loads only after you opt in to the analytics category. Our tag tells Clarity that advertising storage is denied, so it sets only the analytics cookies listed below and none of Microsoft's advertising cookies. If you withdraw consent, we signal the denial to Clarity immediately and it stops setting these cookies.

Visitor identification cookies
We use the Apollo website tracker to help us recognise the organisations visiting the site so our team can follow up with relevant businesses. Apollo loads only after you switch on visitor identification in our cookie dialog, and withdrawing consent stops it from your next page load. Apollo stores identifiers in cookies and browser storage under its own names, listed in Apollo's privacy documentation.
We do not run Microsoft Ads or Beehiiv tags, and our Microsoft Clarity tag signals that advertising storage is denied, so Clarity's Microsoft advertising cookies (ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM) are not set either. Microsoft Ads MR and MUID cookies are advertising cookies: the analytics carve-out in the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 does not cover them, so if we ever introduce them they would require your explicit opt-in to a separate advertising category, which does not currently exist, and this policy would be updated first.
Third-party cookies and data sharing
Some cookies on insightfulai.co.uk are set by third-party services we use. Each provider has its own privacy policy explaining how they handle data:
- Netlify (website hosting and server logs): Netlify Privacy Policy

Fonts are self-hosted on our own domain: no font request leaves this site and no IP address is shared with a font provider.
Where these providers process personal data on our behalf, they act as data processors under written agreements with Insightful AI. Where a provider uses data for its own purposes, it acts as an independent data controller and its own privacy policy applies to that processing.
Some of these providers may transfer data outside the UK. Our Privacy Policy covers the safeguards we have in place for international data transfers.
How to manage cookies and withdraw consent
On-site controls
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time. Use the button below, or the ‘Cookie settings’ link in the website footer. Either reopens the cookie dialog, where you can allow or reject each category of optional cookies. The dialog does not open by itself on this page or on our Privacy Policy, so you can always read both before deciding.
Browser settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working correctly. Check your browser's help documentation for instructions specific to your browser.
What happens when you withdraw consent
When you withdraw consent, Google Analytics is disabled and we clear the analytics cookies listed above. If Microsoft Clarity has loaded, the page reloads to stop its collection; denying cookie storage alone would still allow cookieless collection. This withdrawal also applies to other open tabs. The Apollo tracker stops from your next page load; identifiers it stored under its own names stop being refreshed and expire under Apollo's policy, and you can also remove them through your browser settings. Data collected before you withdrew consent was processed lawfully at the time and is not affected by the withdrawal.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The ‘Last updated’ date at the top of this page shows when we last revised it.
