This page explains how insightfulai.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies, what they do, and how you can control them. Our use of cookies is governed by PECR (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, the UK law that controls when cookies can be placed on your device) and UK GDPR (the UK's data protection law). For full details on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

    What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They serve different purposes. Some are needed for the site to work. Some help us understand how people use the site. Others support advertising.

Similar technologies, including tracking pixels and local storage, work in comparable ways. This policy covers those too.

    How we use cookies

We group cookies into three categories based on what they do and what legal basis applies to each.

    Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies keep the website running. They handle security, bot protection, and session integrity. You cannot switch them off because the site would not work without them. PECR (the UK's cookie law) does not require consent for these cookies.

    Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. They collect aggregate data: which pages people visit, how long they stay, and where traffic comes from. No individual profiling takes place. We use analytics cookies with your consent. You can accept or refuse them using our cookie banner, and change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the website footer.

    Advertising cookies

These cookies deliver relevant advertising and measure campaign performance. They are not set unless you choose to accept them. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the website footer.

    Cookies we use

The tables below list every cookie active on insightfulai.co.uk, grouped by category.

    Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies do not require your consent under PECR.

    Cookie nameProviderPurposeDurationFirst or third party
X-CSRF-TOKENInsightful AIProtects against cross-site request forgery attacks on form submissions.Up to 400 daysFirst party
iai-cookie-consent-v1Insightful AIBrowser local storage, not a cookie. Records your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page.Until you clear itFirst party

    Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It loads only after you opt in to the analytics category in our cookie banner. If you later withdraw consent using the cookie settings link in the footer, measurement stops immediately.

    Cookie nameProviderPurposeDurationFirst or third party
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes visitors with a randomly generated identifier so repeat visits are counted once.Up to 2 yearsFirst party, set by Google's tag
_ga_K4KYQKVGF2Google AnalyticsKeeps session state for our Google Analytics property.Up to 2 yearsFirst party, set by Google's tag

    Advertising cookies

We use the Apollo website tracker to help us recognise the organisations visiting the site so our team can follow up with relevant businesses. Identification for sales and marketing sits in the advertising category, so Apollo loads only after you opt in to advertising in our cookie banner; withdrawing consent stops it from your next page load. Apollo stores identifiers in cookies and browser storage under its own names, listed in Apollo's privacy documentation.

We do not run Microsoft Ads or Beehiiv tags. If we introduce them, Microsoft Ads MR and MUID cookies are advertising cookies: the analytics carve-out in the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 does not cover them, so they would also require your explicit opt-in to the advertising category, and this policy would be updated first.

    Third-party cookies and data sharing

Some cookies on insightfulai.co.uk are set by third-party services we use. Each provider has its own privacy policy explaining how they handle data:

Fonts are self-hosted on our own domain: no font request leaves this site and no IP address is shared with a font provider.

Where these providers process personal data on our behalf, they act as data processors under written agreements with Insightful AI. Where a provider uses data for its own purposes, it acts as an independent data controller and its own privacy policy applies to that processing.

Some of these providers may transfer data outside the UK. Our Privacy Policy covers the safeguards we have in place for international data transfers.

How to manage cookies and withdraw consent

    On-site controls

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time. Click the ‘Cookie settings’ link in the website footer. This reopens the consent interface where you can accept or refuse each category of non-essential cookies.

    Browser settings

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working correctly. Check your browser's help documentation for instructions specific to your browser.

What happens when you withdraw consent

When you withdraw consent, we delete the relevant cookies from your device and stop setting them on future visits. Data collected before you withdrew consent was processed lawfully at the time and is not affected by the withdrawal.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The ‘Last updated’ date at the top of this page shows when we last revised it.
